Admissions

Enrollment in Horizon Christian Elementary School is open to students, Pre-School through sixth grade. HCES admits students regardless of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin. HCES does, however, reserve the right to administer its school policies and programs in accordance with its mission to teach and model evangelical Biblical beliefs, ethics, and standards. Enrollment in HCES is dependent upon available space, the academic level of the student, the recommendation of others, and the student and parent's willingness to cooperate and support the school purpose statement and its policies and procedural guidelines. Prior discipline problems, and/or suspensions or expulsions from another school, may disqualify a student from being accepted at HCES. Any information revealed after acceptance that is determined by the school administration to be grounds for nonacceptance, will result in the disenrollment of the student from HCES.

New Students

Prior to a student's official enrollment, an evaluation must take place for the purpose of determining proper grade level, class placement, and/or whether HCES is able to provide the type of environment or educational experience needed for the potential enrollee. The assessment process includes an interview and testing in reading and math as well as other areas. Our enrollment process is as follows:

  • Applications for enrollment may be requested from the school office
  • Once a completed application has been sent to the school office, the school will contact the applicant to set a date to interview and test the candidate.
  • If the candidate qualifies for enrollment, the enrollment papers and fees must be turned into the office to secure a spot.
